French Private Equity & Infrastructure Activity – H1 2025 Study
In an environment marked by economic uncertainty, the H1 2025 activity study from France Invest, carried out in partnership with Grant Thornton, highlights the resilience of fund-raisings and investments in the French private equity and infrastructure sectors. Keys to success for asset managers in decarbonisation
The need to decarbonise our economy is becoming more urgent year after year. Businesses and financial institutions find themselves at a crossroads where inaction is no longer a viable option. However, the path to this transition is complex and many barriers make it difficult to grasp: heterogeneity of carbon trajectory tools and methodologies (a comparison of these tools is available in the appendix of this paper), contradictory injunctions from the various stakeholders, costs that are difficult to estimate and assume, etc.
SME guide: Climate transition plan
This guide aims to help SMEs understand and implement a climate transition plan, based on the principles of these reference frameworks. It proposes a gradual approach, tailored to their size, resources and specific challenges, while ensuring consistency with regulatory and market expectations.
“SMEs, mid-cap companies and large corporations alike are all affected by climate-related issues. To adapt and build resilience, defining and implementing a transition plan is a winning solution for any business. But this concept may seem impractical to SME managers. Through this guide, we wanted to clarify the objectives and bring together in a single document a method adapted to SMEs and the tools at their disposal to tackle the issue.” Pauline Becquey, Co-lead of the CSR Strategy Working Group, ESG Director at Turenne Capital
“The transition plan is now an essential exercise for companies that need to both anticipate the risks associated with climate change and contribute to the collective effort to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. This guide, based on feedback from companies, provides SMEs with practical tools to successfully implement this strategic roadmap.” François Thueux, Partner at PwC, sponsor of the CSR Strategy Working Group for investee companies
